Hero and Leander

Hero and Leander [2023] is a short film directed by Alexis Rendel that is based on the poem of the same name. Complications meant the budget for the film was lost very shortly before the film was meant to shoot and so the set had to become very minimal very quickly. This film was an education in improvising with very little to hand. In the end, I prefer the final set to what was planned. If I were to do this film again I would combine the two designs into one to make a set that feels  abstract yet lived in.
